I’ve known Barb and her family since I was a kid, shopping in their family store in the north end of Manchester and then when we were both volunteering at Camp Kennedy, a special needs camp that ran for six weeks in the summer. Today, we both reminisce about how much fun we had during those times. So I thought of her for this project because she is a total inspiration for all women, with or without special needs children.
“When Patrick was born I never asked God why? I just knew we were off on a new and life long journey.”
“When he was a small boy he held my hand as I showed him the way. Now that we are both getting older it is Patrick who leads the way with me close behind. Still holding my hand.” Barb King McCooe
Please join me to honor these women on May 10th at the Mothers Who Inspire Exhibit.
Thank you Barb and Patrick for letting me hang with you at the swings:)
