Social media is a great way to stay connected to old friends and that’s how I reconnected with Sue and her daughter, Annalee. I’m so happy they agreed to be a part of this years exhibit. Meeting Annalee has been a highlight of this years group.
We became instant friends and message each other often on Facebook. She calls me “honey”:)
I’ve asked each Mother to write her story about her child/children to be displayed with their portraits so everyone viewing can understand more about each family. As I was reading Sue’s, I started to sob. Her words are so powerful and full of love.
Here are a few and a few of my favorite portraits:
“Being Annalee’s mom has taught me so many things — I have learned to speak up, to demand more, to set difficult priorities, to say no, to ask for help, to make painful choices, to trust, to have faith, to accept, to let go, and to believe in magic and miracles. Annalee is my inspiration, my reason to get up and face each day and whatever it brings, with a positive attitude for everyone and everything that comes our way.
She is a radiant light in this world that brings out the best in everyone around her. I am honored to be her mom and so incredibly proud of the beautiful person she has become.”
Thank you Sue and Annalee for letting me into your lives and capturing your beauty.
Please join me on May 2nd to meet these wonderful mothers and their special children.
Annalee will be there greeting everyone with her big smile and a warm hug.
