I’m pleased to announce the Second Annual Mothers Who Inspire Exhibit. This year, I will be photographing twelve incredible Mothers with their beautiful children. These portraits will speak volumes about the unique bond between a Mother and a special needs child. Their stories will bring tears to your eyes.
Last year’s exhibit was in honor of my Mother, Alyce, who has been my inspiration since I was a young girl. Not only did she raise five children alone, her oldest, Jane, was born with Down Syndrome. Jane was the special one in our family; she brought joy into our home and warmth to our hearts (and all who knew her). In October, my sister Jane passed away. Our hearts are heavy with sadness, but I’m so grateful for the opportunity to honor both of them at last year’s exhibit.
This year’s invitation is of my daughter, Kate, and my granddaughter, Gianna, who was diagnosed on the spectrum of Autism in 2012. The love my daughter showers Gianna with is amazing, and watching her handle the daily life of raising a child with special needs is inspiring.
Please join me on May 2nd to honor these incredible women and meet their children.
